This interview is part of the American Indian Relocation series. These interviews document the experience of American Indians who came to Los Angeles as part of the Bureau of Indian Affairs' urban relocation program in the 1950s and 1960s. The initial interviews were conducted by UCLA students in Professor Peter Nabokov's American Indian Studies 200A class. The Center for Oral History Research then conducted additional interviews to expand on those first student interviews.
The interviewer compiled the table of contents and interview history. Glenna Jean Amos did not review the transcript and therefore some proper names may remain unverified.
The transcript of this interview is a verbatim transcript of the audio recording. It was transcribed by a professional transcribing agency. The interviewee was then given the opportunity to review the transcript in order to supply the missing or misspelled names and to verify the accuracy of the contents.
In some cases the audio recording may differ slightly from the transcript, because the transcriptionist did not accurately transcribe what was said.
Records relating to the interview are located in the office of the UCLA Library’s Center for Oral History Research.
